All our doors are designed to suit your needs and can be fitted with decorative glass and panels. All doors can be designed and supplied with aesthetically pleasing fully sculptured profiles or traditional elegant chamfered profiles.
Security
In this current environment security needs to at the top of the list so we have made every effort to keep you and your family safe and secure. We only supply internal glazing as standard on all our products to prevent glass removal from outside. High security hook locking systems prevent doors from being forced open.
Anti-snap, anti-bump, anti-drill cylinder locks prevent tampering with locks. Security hinge dog bolts prevent access gained at hinge side, and reinforced PVC help to resist most attacks. We can also supply you with shatter-proof glass. Above all, our own experienced fitting personnel, compliment all these efforts by installing your product as it should be.
Safety
All our doors and panels are fitted with toughened safety glass as standard to maximise strength and prevent injury from glass breakage. Inward opening doors are fitted with low level non-trip thresholds to facilitate wheel chair access and reduce accidents by tripping. Outward opening doors are fitted with restrictor stays to prevent injury and wind damage.
All door locks can be fitted with thumb turn cylinders reducing the need for keys to unlock your door in emergency. All bedroom and balcony are fitted with fire escape facilities. Double doors are fitted with double handles to ease the use of both doors. And above all our experienced fitting personnel will ensure all is as it should be.
Environment
At Acorn Windows and Doors we insist that all our PVC products are 100% lead free which is better for the environment and better for you. Due to the insulation qualities and energy efficiency achieved with our products less heat is lost and less fuel is used to keep your home cosy.
Due to correct fitting and qualities of our products supplied each and every window and door will perform correctly for longer period of time. All of this makes a huge impact on our environment.
Strength
All our PVC doors are fully welded for enhanced strength and performance and additional strength is achieved with the use of reinforced profiles. All doors and side panels are coupled with steel joiners to deliver maximum strength and extend performance. Reinforced glass as with toughened safety or laminated shatter proof glass will be used in all areas required to contribute maximum strength.
Our experience allows us to design and supply the best possible solution with strength in mind for all our customers requirements. Again ensuring the product is correctly fitted will achieve the strongest values of our products.
Insulation
This can only be achieved from the start of our process. All products are manufactured to deliver best possible insulation and can only be achieved if products are designed correctly and fitted accordingly.
Products can be supplied with “A” rated double glazing or “A”+ triple glazing and even to passive rating of 0.8. All our products are multi chambered for increased energy efficiency and can be steel reinforced without compromising insulation properties. Our composite doors can be supplied with u-Values as low as 0,2.
